Tim Donaghey

Before coming to the Bar, Tim practised exclusively in employment law and industrial relations for four years whilst Legal Counsel for the Australian Hotel Association and a solicitor at a national law firm. He read with Frank Parry S.C. and Chris O'Grady.

In 2006, Tim wrote the book 'Termination of Employment' published by LexisNexis Butterworths, which provides an in-depth analysis of the jurisdiction and state of termination case law in Australia both pre- and post-Work Choices legislative reforms. It focuses on the fundamentals of the Federal statutory termination jurisdiction necessary to examine, analyse and prepare termination cases in the Federal courts or in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

Tim advises on a wide range of  matters including employment and contractor agreements, award matters, unfair dismissals, industrial action and injunctive relief.
