Introduction

Members of CommBar can be instructed by lawyers, corporations, government agencies, businesses, and individuals from Australia and Internationally.

Our members can offer the following services:

    • specialist and strategic advice;
    • drafting of documents and pleadings;
    • advocacy in courts, tribunals and other forums;
    • arbitration services;
    • mediation services;
    • expert witness on Australian law in foreign disputes.

As members of the Victorian Bar, our members are obliged to accept briefs in a field in which they practise.  We welcome work ranging from small to large and complex matters.  Many of our members are entitled to practise everywhere in Australia.  Some are also entitled to practise in the UK, USA, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Pacific jurisdictions like Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu and Solomon Islands.

CommBar members are often briefed direct by corporate counsel, government lawyers and patent attorneys.
