Glenn McGowan SC, Chair

Glenn McGowan practises in commercial law, principally intellectual property. In particular, he has extensive advice, trial and appellate experience in litigation (courts & tribunals) involving patents, trade marks, copyright, designs, confidential information and trade practices involving all areas of technology including engineering, chemistry, polymers, software, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals etc.

 

Andrew Maryniak, Secretary

Andrew has an extensive practice covering all aspects of intellectual property law, including related trade practices law.  He predominantly practises in the Federal Court of Australia.  He is a member of the Intellectual Property Society of Australia & New Zealand and the Copyright Society of Australia. 

 

James Samargis, Assistant Secretary

James has a strong interest in technology and design with a science background (physics). He is a patent attorney (electrical/mechanical) and trade mark attorney.

He serves on the IP&IT committee of the Commercial Law Section of the Law Institute and is a director of Craft Victoria, the peak State body for designer-makers.
