Senior Junior Counsel with 20 years experience in construction law dispute resolution.  Appearing in construction law and commercial matters in courts of all superior jurisdictions, tribunals, arbitrations, mediations, Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act adjudications and all other alternative dispute resolution processes.

David J. McAndrew, Deputy Chair

Senior Junior Counsel engaged in a broad range of complex building and construction disputes in the Supreme Court of Victoria, and local and international arbitrations. Frequently engaged to advise clients during the project in connection with emerging disputes and to assist in connection with alternative dispute resolution procedures including expert determinations, neutral evaluations, mediation and Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act adjudications.

Suzanne Kirton, Secretary

Junior Counsel, with 7 years experience in a variety of major commercial cases, domestic building disputes, professional negligence claims and Security of Payment Act claims.  A background of 6 years as a solicitor in building insurance.  Also appears regularly before the Building Appeals Board and the Building Practitioners’ Board.  Extensive mediation experience.  Committee Member of the Building Dispute Practitioners’ Society and member of VCAT’s Domestic Building List Users’ Group.
