Asia Practice

The rise of the Asian economies is transforming the way in which the West and East engages in trade and commerce.

Many of our members already provide strategic legal advice to major corporations, financial institutions, businesses, and governments engaged in trade and commerce in the Asian economies.

Some of our members are also entitled to practise law within those economies.  There is, however, a sophistication of relationship networks underpinned by culture and philosophy which is often misunderstood.

Our Asia Practice section will assist members to understand the “cultural intelligence” needed to effectively represent clients who are engaged in trade and commerce in those Asian economies.

We will arrange relevant topics and speakers pertinent to establishing and developing an Asia Practice, including arranging dialogues with Asian legal practitioners in areas of legal practice relevant to CommBar members.
