Albert Monichino S.C., Co-Chair

Senior Counsel with over 20 years experience in general commercial dispute resolution. Appearing as counsel in commercial matters in courts of superior jurisdiction, arbitrations (domestic and international) and mediations. Also, acts as an arbitrator and mediator in a broad range of commercial matters. He is the Vice President-Arbitration and a Fellow of the Australian Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (‘CIArb’), a Fellow of the Australian Centre of International Commercial Arbitration (‘ACICA’) and a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia (‘IAMA’). He is a graded arbitrator and is accredited as an advanced mediator.

 

Martin Scott, Co-Chair

Senior junior with 20 years experience in dispute resolution in a wide range of commercial fields. ADR experience includes expert determination, arbitration (including expedited arbitration), mediation and Security of Payment Act adjudication.  He has appeared for and advised listed public companies and private companies, arbitrators, foreign companies, international joint ventures, state and federal governments and their agencies, and regulators in a range of commercial matters including  Corporations Act matters, maritime claims, and construction and infrastructure disputes.

 

David Goodwin, Secretary and Monitor

David signed the Bar Roll in May 2010 after a 25 year corporate career. From 2005 to early 2010 he worked in Singapore as Vice President Corporate Affairs for the NOL Group, operator of the world’s fifth largest container shipping line. David’s practice focuses on contractual and general commercial disputes. He has particular expertise in maritime and international trade law. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a member of the arbitration panel of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand.

 

Daniel Bongiorno, Monitor

Daniel practises in administrative, civil and commercial law. Before signing the Bar Roll, he practised at the London office of the New York firm, Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations in the International Chamber of Commerce, London Court of International Arbitration and Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
Daniel is also admitted as an attorney in New York and to the roll of solicitors in England & Wales (non-practising). In his postgraduate studies, at Georgetown University in Washington DC, he was awarded the Thomas Bradbury Chetwood, SJ, prize for the most distinguished academic performance leading to a Master of Laws Degree (General Studies).
