Our point of difference

Expenditure on a legal dispute is generally unproductive expenditure for a business.  Legal disputes must therefore be carefully managed to minimise the time and expense consumed by them.  Effective and economic dispute resolution requires that the individual or team advising the client has the ability and experience to foresee the range of likely outcomes and to choose the path most appropriate for the client.  Satisfactory dispute resolution is rarely achieved by a “wait and see approach”.  It requires active and careful management like any other aspect of a successful business.

All of our members are self-employed specialist advocates and legal advisors answerable only to their clients and the courts and tribunals in which they appear.

When you retain a member of CommBar, you can rely on the barrister providing effective representation and advocacy, together with specialist legal advice.

Whether you retain a senior barrister and/or a junior barrister, or a team of barristers, you will receive independent expert representation and advice.  CommBar members, like all members of the Victorian Bar, adhere to Rules of Conduct which ensure that the client’s interests are represented in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
